Inspired by one of my favourite works of art. A heady mix or deep rich tones of red-brown and mahogany with highlights of gold sprinkled liberally throughout. The Shetland and Corriedale give this blend more body than Merino but it's still super soft and divine. I think this would make great garments that are going to take a bit of wear but you want soft enough that can go against the skin, such as jumpers, gloves and socks.

A stunning mix of
17% Red Eri Silk (Vegetarian Silk)
33% Shetland Wool
50% Corriedale Wool

This mix is soft and bouncy with utter luxury from the red eri silk. A real joy to spin or add into felting with it's mix of fabulous colours. If spinning, this would be be a great candidate for splitting into thinner slivers to keep the colours more separate. I also think the blend would make a really great thicker yarn with a lower twist as the shetland and corriedale will resist pilling more than merino - lots of choices for this lovely blend! These are just suggestions - I often get asked "How would you spin this?" but please do spin it however you like, there are no hard and fast rules on any fibre, but please DO send me photos, they make my day!

Make sure you buy enough for your project with our exclusive blends - they are limited quantities and once they're gone, they're gone!

Perfect for Spinning, Needle and Wet Felting, Mixed Media and adding inclusions to Weaving!

How much do I need?
This is a tricky question to answer because every project is different and spinners spin different thicknesses which changes how much meterage you get from the amount of starting weight of wool. So this is a guide, the rule of thumb is always get a little bit more than you think you'll need.

Needle Felting: 25g
Wet Felting: 50g - 100g
Spinning for fun: 100g
Spinning for socks: 100g
Spinning for scarf: 200g
Spinning for Jumper: 500g - 600g

Please note that whilst we make every effort to have a true representation of the colours, each monitor or phone screen is different and this can slightly change the colour. The best way to see them is to come in to the shop and squish them in person!
