Learn To Crochet
Course Time 10am - 12.30pm
Discover the soothing, mindful joy of crochet by learning to make your own set of colourful coasters.
Designed with the complete beginner in mind, this course will teach you the basics of crochet—how to choose and hold your hook and yarn, how to work commonly used stitches and techniques, and how to read a pattern. From there, you will progress to crocheting in the round and will be able to start working on your coasters.
Although you are welcome to bring your own, you will be provided with a 3.5mm crochet hook. A written pattern to the project will also be made available for you to work on and take home.
What Do I Need To bring?
DK (double-knitted) yarn, preferably cotton, in up to 3 colours. Alternatively, I will have a small selection of yarn oddments on the day, available on a first-come-first-served basis.
About The Tutor
"I first got into crochet completely by accident nearly ten years ago. Since then, it has become such a passion that I started blogging about it, designing my own pieces, writing patterns and filming tutorials for social media platforms, while slowly accumulating enough yarn to make my craft room look like a small shop! I am currently in the process of setting up an online shop to sell my own digital patterns for wearables, bags and toys." Marie Farenc
