8/2 thickness is perfect for weaving all sorts of fabulous fabric. Freya Jones recommends using this 100% Bamboo for weaving scarves, wraps and cloth for clothing and many other uses. Bamboo has incredible lustre and drape whilst retaining it's soft handle, think of it as a cheaper alternative to silk - it's absolutely gorgeous.
If rigid heddle weaving, we suggest using a 12.5dpi to 15dpi reed, or doubling it in a 10dpi reed for a slightly firmer fabric.
Also try using this as a single in spinning to ply with, making your handspun go further and have a different look and feel!
